MARQUIS “BO” PORTER

Bo is known as “The Coach of Champions” and is one of the world’s leading experts on sports, youth development, leadership, business development, and team building.

An accomplished pro athlete, MLB Executive, business developer, and Keynote Speaker, Bo Porter embodies how to empower one’s life to its fullest. Bo earned his Communications Degree from the University of Iowa in 1994. He was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in 1993. Bo played in the Major Leagues for the Cubs, Oakland A’s and Texas Rangers. He coached for the Miami Marlins, Arizona Diamondbacks, Washington Nationals and Atlanta Braves. At the age of 40, Bo was named Manager of the Houston Astros and at the time was the youngest Manager in Major League Baseball. He completed the trifecta of the MLB hierarchy when he was named Special Assistant General Manager of the Atlanta Braves. Bo continued to expand his professional career when he was named Director of the Players Trust & Player Development for Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA). Bo is the Founding President of Future All-Stars Sports Development Academy, the Founder and Chairman of the Board for the Stacey and Bo Porter SELF Foundation, Founding President of REal Excellence Inc., CEO of Bo Porter Enterprise and the author of three books: REal Life EMPOWERED, The END GAME and 78 KEYS TO CHAMPION YOUR LIFE.
